Oral history interview with Mabel Wolfe, 1978 November 30.

Interview with Mabel Wolfe concerning her experiences as co-founder (with husband, Ross, deceased 1948) of Wolfe's Nurseries in Stephenville, Texas. Wolfe discusses family backgrounds, education, their move to California, and their visits with Luther Burbank and his influence in starting the pecan nursery business in Texas. She also talks about Ross's sales career with other nurseries, the founding of his own business and the early struggles, the origins of Burkett Pecan, the growth and expansion of the company, as well as Ross's death, the sons' running the business, and the sale of the business.
